Apo Reef ( Region 4B )

APO REEF

The 34-square kilometer Apo Reef in Occidental Mindoro is the second largest contiguous coral reef in the world and the largest in the country. It is on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Apo Reef Natural Park lies approximately 33 kilometers off the coast of Sablayan in the province of Occidental Mindoro. The coral reefs cover a total area of 34 square kilometers, making it the second largest contiguous coral reef in the world, next only to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.Also considered as the second largest atoll-like reef in the country, Apo Reef consists of two separate coral reefs that are separated by a 30-meter deep channel with a fine white sand bottom, numerous mounds and patches of branching corals under the deep blue water.
Three islands comprise the Apo Reef Natural Park. Apo Menor or Binangaan Island is marked of limestone rock with few vegetation. Cayos del Bajo Island is a coralline rock formation with no vegetation. Apo Island, the largest of the three at 22 hectares, features a shallow lagoon surrounded by a mangrove forest that benefit many of the coastal and marine species in the area, as well as a sanctuary for sea birds. 
It is in Apo Island where park rangers who patrol the reef’s boundaries have put up their quarters, as well as basic amenities for visiting divers – except potable water or electricity. It also features a historic lighthouse that dates back to the Spanish Colonial Period. 

Taal Volcano ( Region 4A )

TAAL VOLCANO
Taal Volcano (2½ hours from Manila) is regarded the world’s smallest active volcano and one of its deadliest. It also has the unusual distinction of being the world's only volcano within a lake within a volcano within a lake within a volcano. The largest lake is inside a large volcanic caldera that was produced hundreds of thousands of years ago by a catastrophic eruption by a super volcano that was thousands of times larger than Krakatua. Inside the lake is a smaller volcano and lake with a small island topped by a relatively new volcanic crater. When you visit Taal Volcano, make sure to bring water, hats and plenty of sun screen lotion. Wear light clothes for it can get very hot, it being located in a tropical country. It is most recommended you get a head start early in the morning. You can either take a hike or ride on horseback to go up the ridge and see the beautiful Crater Lake.
From Manila, you can travel by land to Tagaytay, passing through panoramic views of the countryside. Afterwards, you take a zigzag road to the Town of Talisay. To get to Taal Volcano and Taal Lake, you can take a half hour boat ride in any town located on the shores of Taal Lake. The most popular point is in Talisay. 

Mt. Pinatubo (Region 3)

MT. PINATUBO

Mt. Pinatubo is located near the trip point of the Philippine provinces of Zambales, Tarlac and Pampanga and about 4 km west of the dormant Mt. Arayat in Pampanga and 87 km northwest of Manila. Local and foreign tourists are lured to the place due to the fun and exciting extreme adventure experience one is bound to have when they visit Mt. Pinatubo. The unique rock formations which resulted from the earth-changing eruptions of Mt. Pinatubo are just some of the great views one will be privilege to see on a day tour to Mt. Pinatubo. Rizal Park ( NCR )

     also known as Luneta National Park or simply Luneta, is a historical urban park in the Philippines. Located along Roxas Boulevard, Manila, adjacent to the old walled city of Intramuros, it is one of the largest urban parks in Asia. It has been a favorite leisure spot, and is frequented on Sundays and national holidays. Rizal Park is one of the major tourist attractions of Manila.
     It is an important site of Philippine history because this is the place where our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal was executed on December 30, 1896. Luneta Park is a good place to spend time with your family and friends. When you visit to this park, you will see the actual site where Dr. Jose Rizal was executed

Hundred Island National Park(Region 1)

HUNDRED ISLAND NATIONAL PARK


     Alaminos City in Pangasinan has its natural beauty and attraction that we should be proud of. It is called the Hundred Island National Park, the first ever national park in the Philippines. Hundred Island National Park is composed of more than hundred groups of island scattered along the Lingayen Gulf. One of the three islands were developed for the tourism, those are: Governor's Island, Quezon's Island and Children Island.  There were also some fun facts about this island, one of those was: there was island called "The Marcos Island' which was named after the ex-president, the late Ferdinand Marcos. There was also a cave called Imelda, named after the former Philippine First Lady, Imelda Marcos. And lastly, the "Cabarruyan Island", swhich is located at the northwest of the National Park is the largest island that's why it was called the "Mother Island."

The hanging coffins of Sagada(CAR Region)

  Sagada Mt. Province is popular for its culture and traditions and one of the best examples is the hanging coffins. Hanging Coffins is located in Echo Valley which are predominantly reserved for the families with Igorot elders. The coffins are carved by the elderly before they die.And if they were to ill or weak, their son or the relatives will do it for them.When the members of the family died, he / she will be carried to a cliff in a procession. It is believed that when the mourners carry and was smeared by the blood, he / she will possess the skills of the deceased. Then after the procession, the corpse will be placed to the side of the cliff due to their belief that the deceased will be closer to heaven. 


















CALLAO CAVE (Region 2)


     Callao Cave is located in the municipality of Peñablanca, Cagayan province. It is the premier attraction in the Peñablanca Protected Landscape and Seascape and one of the most accessible of all the caves.This popular cave is composed of seven chambers and various formation. The first chamber of this cave is the largest room.The cathedral-like room has been turned into a chapel by the local people.  And a rock formation that serves as the altar of the chapel lit by a stream of light coming from the rooftop opening.

 This cave contains a two rock formation-the stalactites which hangs from the ceiling of the cave and stalagmites that rises from the floor of the cave.
